Our Boat

Prior to owning Toodaloo, our first boat was a 2004 Manta 42 catamaran named Cattywampus. She was an awesome boat and we were devastated when we lost her in 2020 to Hurricane Sally. The Manta 42 was a terrific boat and she set the bar high for our next catamaran.

Beth and I decided to purchase a new 2025 Seawind 1260 (after a great deal of research) and we named her Toodaloo. The Seawind 1260 has a reputation for being a very well constructed boat and is also reputed to be one of the better sailing midsize catamarans out there. At 41 feet, she's the perfect size for a cruising couple and we've loved every minute of being on board!

The trifold doors on Toodaloo are the hallmark design for Seawards, bringing the outside and the interior together. She also has 1600 watts of solar and 900 amp hours of lithium so she provides us with all the energy that we need. We opted not to have a generator and, instead, rely on two high output alternators to put energy into out batteries when it's overcast for several days in a row.
